Cat vitamin recall
Hartz is voluntarily recalling a lot of Hartz Vitamin Care for Cats, a product that is distributed nationally. They are concerned about possible salmonella contamination. Although Hartz had not detected any, the FDA did detect the presence of salmonella in a sample. No pet owners have reported anything as of this time. The lot being recalled consists of about 3,600 bottles. The lot was manufactured by the company UFAC in Baconton, Ga.. Recalled bottles are imprinted with lot code SZ-16371 and UPC code 32700-97701. Retailers have been advised to take the product off of the shelves. People can call Hartz at 800-275-1414 for more info on the recall or to find out how to get a refund.
