Freecycle things you no longer need
What do you do with things you no longer need? Many people throw them away. When I have something (not garbage) that I don’t need anymore, I post it on my local Freecycle board. Freecycle is a network of people on a city, county or state level that all work together to ease landfill use and recycle items. It’s free to join, and the biggest rule is whatever you list you must be giving away for free. Once you’re approved for your local network, you are able to post for items you’re offering as well as items you might be in need of. We’ve given away some toys, games, clothes and computer items. We’ve received a desk and a really nice dresser. It’s a wonderful concept and I recommend it. Interested? Go to www.freecycle.org to find your local group.
