No more tangles
I bathed the cats over the weekend, as I’d mentioned I was going to. Rennie was well behaved. She looks good but I think I need to put her back on her “put weight on” diet. It’s amazing how different cats look when they’re wet compared to when they’re dry. Shadow was good and he no longer smells like poop. He’s clean but he had a couple of knots I wasn’t able to get out. Hubby thought I should try and trim them as I usually do but after the incident last year I don’t dare. there wouldn’t be enough cat life insurance for me to try and cut knots out again. In case you didn’t know, I got too close to the skin and cut the cat last time I tried. I really have to get him in to the groomers, so she can trim him. There has to be an easier, less expensive way to get tangles out of long haired cat fur.

Try a matting comb. They sell them in the dog grooming section. You can’t cut them with it and works like a charm! I use them on my shih-tzus. They are basically razor sharp edges that cut the tangle out without getting the skin.

I guess it’s called a de-matting comb
