Who’s been on a cruise?
We went on our first and only cruise in December of 2006, it was a Disney cruise. It was wonderful and we really loved it. We all want to take another cruise, possibly in 2009. We’re interested in caribbean cruises and having never been, I’m wondering what everyone recommends. I’m pretty sure we’ll travel around the same time of year next time, for a couple of reasons. The weather at the end of November and beginning of December is still warm for us New Jersey folks. Hurricane season is officially over. And, prices are much cheaper because there’s less crowds at that time of year. So, please comment me with any recommendations you have – locale, cruise line, anything pertinent. I welcome the input.

I used to be a travel agent and the most popular cruise itinerary for my clients was the Western Caribbean out of New Orleans and Galveston. Sometimes the destination was determined by the price of the airfare to the city the cruise departed from. No one likes to spend a ton of money on the airfare, you want to put it towards the actual cruise. It might be too cold to consider in November or December, but you actually have some cruises leaving out of New York, Baltimore and Philadelphia that you could drive to and save money. Good Luck!!
Oh, I almost forgot…Royal Caribbean gives you the best value for the money as far as the total cruise experience including customer service. At least that is my experience!

Thanks for the input Annie. We’re in NJ and quite close to all 3 – Baltimore, Philly and new York. I have heard Royal Caribbean is excellent as well.
