I can’t use this coupon, but maybe one of you can. I got an email today for 25% off of purchases made at The Top Secret. Not knowing what it was I went to the site, where I was greeted by a login area for members only. Curious, I did a little more reading and learned that The Top Secret is an invitation only website that offers sample sales. According to the email they’re currently having a handbag sale on 06/12-06/13/08. So, if any of you are members of The Top Secret and you purchase a handbag, enter the code “SECRET” when you checkout and you should receive $25 off your purchase. Since I’m not a member, I’d appreciate it if somebody would leave me a comment on what else they have going on there if you can.

Do you collect points or codes from soda products? How many soda manufacturers have these programs? I know Coke has offered My Rewards for quite a while now. I have a My Rewards account, but half the time if I have a code I can’t enter it because the printing isn’t clear enough to read. Today, I went on a quest looking for contests for an xbox 360. My son’s been really wanting one for a long time. Anyway. While searching I found out that Mountain Dew also has a program to collect codes from their products. Not being a soda drinker I don’t know if they do theirs the same as Coke. Are their codes legible? Just wondering. Sometimes I think that the codes are purposely made hard to read so less people win.

I found out today that I have the opportunity to take part in another online Treasure Hunt sponsored by Jewel Elegance this week. I was in one of their online treasure hunts last month and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it looks like I won’t be able to join this one because it’s in the middle of the day and I’ll be at work. I heard there will be more online treasure hunts coming up, so it’s ok if I don’t get in on this one. I did learn something new just by receiving an invitation. This past week I participated in Bloggy Giveaways. Two of the giveaways I ran were for a total of twenty coupons for free yogurt. The terrific response made me realize that this coupon was a very good one because it was worth a couple of dollars. That and because it’s a healthier type of food, people could eat it without needing to get into corsets. Anyway, I got to thinking about all of the coupons I’ve found and/or cut, and realizing few had a value as great as the ones I’d just given away. I was wondering, what is the best coupon you’ve ever found?

A question for those of you that shop with online coupons. Let’s say you get an email containing a coupon code for a discount, let’s say 40% off a $25 purchase. You get another email containing a coupon code for a free product with any order, let’s say a gold anklet that you’d really like. You browse the website and when you go to checkout you see the message saying you may not combine coupons. What do you do? Do you only use one coupon? Do you split your order into two orders so you can use both coupons? I’m curious to see how people manage situations like this., so please let me know.

My Mom is the Queen of using grocery coupons. She hands on to them and always seems to find out about a triple coupon sale at just the right time. Me, I constantly forget to bring my coupons to the store, or due to a change in plans don’t have them with me when I go to the store. So how does she do it. Easy. She subscribes to the Sunday paper. If there’s really good coupons in there she’s been known to go get some more papers. She gives me any coupons she doesn’t use to me to look through. After I take out what I want, I either take them to the grocery store and leave them for someone else or throw them away.

I recently found out that there are actually websites and groups across the nation and online where people trade and exchange grocery coupons. I cannot stress enough that I have no personal experience with any of the following sites or groups, but wanted to share them with you. I’m referring to the Coupon Chief, of course. The Coupon Chief is a site that offers nothing but online coupons and coupon codes. The site is nicely organized, and allows searching by store, category or coupon. They offer an area where you can see the most recently added coupons, which is great if you visit on a regular basis. You are even able sign up to subscribe to their rss feed if you want to receive alerts when new coupons are added. Next time you’re online looking for coupon codes, be sure to check Coupon Chief.

I originally was going to get my hubby an ipod for Christmas, because he travels 90 minutes to work in each direction every day. Each morning he goes through his cd collection and picks out a half dozen or so to bring with him. I thought it would be neat to give him one of the larger ipods so he could put all of his music on there and not have to go through his cds every day. I ended up not getting him an ipod because I wasn’t sure he’d like it.

Last night my hubby asked me how much an ipod costs. I asked why and told him about the different models of ipods and their prices. He seemed interested. So last night I decided I think I’m going to get him one for Valentine’s Day. I started surfing today looking for a deal and stopped on the Coupon Chief website. Coupon Chief is a site that has all kinds of coupons and coupon codes, for just about anything you can think of. I was pleased to find out that Coupon Chief has a whole section of Apple coupons. While I was on the site I had to check out the Best Buy coupons too, because I can always find something in there that he or my son wants. I love finding coupons for online shopping!
