Tips To A Cat Litter Box That Doesn’t Smell

Hooded Litter Box

This might sound funny but not everyone cleans or changes a litter box the same way. Here’s what I’ve found helpful when cleaning ours.

I like to completely change ours weekly.
Start out with a clean empty box. Be sure the sides and bottom are completly clean.
Add lots of fresh litter. We use a scented litter. Leave enough extra litter that it will fill in what is used, soiled and removed during the week.
I check the box for dirty or wet litter at least once a day, sometimes twice. Always twice if there is more than one cat.
Near the litter box I keep a scoop, as well as a tiny dustpan and brush. If some litter escapes I sweep it up and throw it away when I’m cleaning the box.
That’s it.
If you follow the above steps you shouldn’t have any odor. If you do you may want to consider finding yourself some Proflowers Valentine flower deals and putting the flowers in the bathroom.

Trying A New Litter Box

what happens in the litter box mug

I’m very intrigued. As I mentioned previously, Romeo stinks when he goes to the bathroom. If you’re considering appetite suppressants just visit my bathroom. I got a new litter box to try called the Breeze system. I clean the box every day and I still can tell when he’s been in there so I’m curious to see how this new litter box works.
