Recently, I went to my Moms to let the dogs out. Her cat, who usually doesn’t bother with me, came and sat next to me and let me pet him for a while and was purring. This cat is funny in a number of ways, one of which being because he will usually only sleep on a bed. But, he won’t always go on my Mom’s bed if the dog is on it, so he goes into the spare bedroom and lies down there. My Mom mentioned she was thinking about getting rid of the furniture in that spare room and putting other things in there, but decided to wait a bit rather then upset the cat since he’s getting really old. My cats have always slept anywhere they wanted, including a bed, couch, chair, and the floor. I’ve never had a cat that would only sleep in one place. Where does your cat sleep?

I think that Shadow would like to have his own notebook computer right now. He really wants to lay on top of mine and I won’t let him. I’m afraid that something will happen to it accidentally. I don’t get his attraction. It’s a silver MacBook Pro, so when it’s off it’s actually very cool to the touch. When it’s been on for a little while it does get slightly warm on parts of the outside but he’s never laid on it then (because that means it’s being used, therefore open). He just doesn’t seem to understand that laptops aren’t for sleeping. Silly cat!

Does you cat ever just get up and run across the house like he’s late for an appointment to look at Wilmington NC real estate? Mine does and it cracks me up every time, partially because we have wood floors and Shadow sometimes skids across the floor before he can stop. I don’t know if it’s true but I found online where it said cats suddenly get up and run like this because they have pent up energy that suddenly overflows. My cat does it about once a week or so. I was looking through some old pictures and I noticed that last winter Shadow looked much bulkier then he does this winter. He’s been a little weird lately. He’s been trying to go up on the kitchen table and I even caught him licking a plastic bag when I was opening some things. From picking him up I’d say it’s a pound or less difference but when comparing pictures it looks like more, like before and after diet pictures. No, I haven’t done anything different or given him anything different. And he certainly hasn’t been taking Apidexin fat burners. So what in the heck is going on?
